On 2 November 2026, GIIS KL came alive with festive energy as students from both the CBSE and Cambridge curricula gathered for the annual Halloween Assembly. The vibrant morning brought together the entire school community to celebrate creativity, self-expression, and artistic talent across all grade levels.
The assembly commenced with a warm welcome from student emcees Harlee of Grade 12B and Medha of Grade 12C. High school students from Grades 9 to 12 kicked off the performances with a Halloween Fashion Show, strutting down the runway in imaginative costumes. Their confidence and creative looks were evaluated by a distinguished panel of four judges comprising Arya Ahir, Lakshman Premkumar, Ishika Kini, and Suhani Singh.
The excitement continued as the younger learners from Grades 1 and 2 took center stage with a delightful dance performance that captivated the audience. Students of Grades 3 to 5 then displayed their festive attire during the Halloween Parade, followed by the Grades 6 to 8 Halloween Mask Parade, which showcased remarkable handcrafted artistry and imagination.
Adding to the dynamic lineup, Year 9 students energized the crowd with a rhythmic dance performance. The celebration culminated in a special Halloween Fashion Walk featuring Cambridge students across all year groups, bringing together learners of different ages in a unified display of Halloween spirit.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks honoring the judges, participants, teachers, organizers, and supporting staff whose hard work made the assembly a success. By fostering collaboration, confidence, and an appreciation for the visual and performing arts, the event embodied the core principles of the 9 Gems framework; including Visual and Performing Arts, Personality Development, Innovation and Creativity, Universal Values and Ethics, Community and Care, and Skill Development, while aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, and Reduced Inequalities.
